Today: “Homecoming Week – Class Theme Day” - Faculty Royalty Crowning/Minute to Win It during 3rd period in the High School gym. Girls Golf (JV) at Plainview – 4:00 p.m. Cross Country at West Holt – 4:00 p.m. Softball (JV/V) at O’Neill w/Ord – 4:30 p.m. Volleyball (B/A) at Lutheran High Northeast – 6/7 p.m. (bus leaves at 3:40 pm).

Seniors will be decorating the Parish Hall this afternoon, periods 6 – 8th.

**12 rubber ducks are hidden throughout the school. These can be found during the day. If you find the rubber duck with a mark on the bottom, bring it to the Office for a prize! All ducks that are found can be kept.

Friday, September 30th: “Homecoming Week – Red & White Day”. All School Mass – 8:10 a.m. Lip Sync Planning with classes. Lip Sync Battle in the HS Gym. Cookout . Pep Rally in gym and Coronation. 1:00 p.m. Dismissal. Football at SMH with Elkhorn Valley – 7:00 p.m. Homecoming Dance – 9:00 p.m. to Midnight.

**Reminder – Freshmen are required to stay after the Homecoming Dance to clean-up.

Saturday, October 1st: Mid-State Softball Conference Tournament at Pierce – 9:00 a.m.

**Life Chain – Sunday, October 2nd: Life Chain, a one hour vigil to promote respect for life and prayers for our nation, will be held Sunday afternoon, October 2 in O’Neill. This peaceful hour of silent prayer and witness will be held on Douglas St. from 2 – 3 pm.

Local registration begins at 1:30 pm at St. Mary’s Grade School. Participants will pick up signs and prayer sheets opposing abortion when they register, then proceed to Douglas St. where they will hold their signs and pray silently.

Boyd-Holt Right to Life welcomes all people of prayer to join them. They encourage participants to pray that the sanctity of human life will be restored throughout the nation, from individual hearts to all levels of government. Prayer is the most powerful weapon in this battle to restore respect for all life, notes the local Life Chain committee.

This is the 29th year that Life Chain has been observed throughout the United States.

Monday, October 3rd: JH Volleyball at Ewing – 4:00 p.m. JH Football at N-O – 4:00 p.m. Softball (JV/V) at St. Paul – 4:30 p.m. Volleyball (JV) at SMH with C-O – 6:00 p.m.

***All students will have a 12:00 PM dismissal on Tuesday, October 4th, 2016 due to Standardized Testing. There will be no lunch served at the Grade School or High School.

Tuesday, October 4th: Student Council will be selling Donuts and Hot Chocolate in the Commons at 7:30 a.m. Standardized Test for grade 7 – 11 from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Noon Dismissal. Volleyball (A) at SMH Triangular – 5/6/7 p.m.

The St. Mary's One-Act Team is in search of old school uniform plaid jumpers or skirts to use in the one-act play this year. Please contact Mrs. Spader if you have uniforms you are willing to lend to the play or have any questions. Thank you!
